Now for the fun parts 😉
In a show filled with magical mayhem, adventure and 600+ year old witches the clothing had to fit the story and parts so there were costumes (and interesting characters to wear them) galore!
Sabrina with Dean Cain. Checkout Sabrina’s outfit, she wore it for a dual babysitting job/study date and I think it’s a definite winner. Figure hugging yet comfortable and slimming (not that she needed it) Black top and trousers over a long sleeve ribbed White top. Even the back of the top is stylish, whose seen a vest like that before? Whereas Dean wore ill-fitted jeans.
Raquel Welch played Sabrina’s aunt Vesta. She wore a stunning Red business suit whilst masquerading as a teacher…
Sabrina and Vesta (Raquel Welch) – both in Parisian style chic outfits in Black with White accessories. The background, Vesta’s home, wasn’t as tasteful but hey, it was called the Pleasure Dome which I think said it all…
Sabrina and Vesta (Raquel Welch) – Sabrina in a cute Red dress ensemble and Vesta in a va va voom number. Damn I love the love the draping on that dress and to top it off it looks like velvet and has full yet figure hugging coverage – very sexy. Raquel was always a siren.
Sabrina and Vesta (Raquel Welch) again – that funky, floral jumpsuit is a bit much for me but what a hot number! Love the hat too.
Even her dressing gown/house coat is ultra glamorous! I’d love to have me one of those.
Last but not least – Sabrina and Vesta in questionable but apparently hip (at the time) music video attire.
Sabrina and a sleek Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Not many guys can or would dress like that, but the ones who can pull it off do it nicely.
Amanda (played by Emily Hart, Melissa’s sister), Sabrina, aunt Marigold (played by Robin Riker), Zelda and Hilda. It’s not the best picture but Zelda was wearing a beautiful burnt Orange, velvet looking dress with a Gold belt and the outfit was gorgeous and slinky on her. Marigold was also beautifully turned out in an adorable flared skirt dress with faux fur (I hope) neckline/shoulders in a sweet light Purple colour.
Sabrina and Phil Fondacaro playing Roland, the kidnapping villain of the fair Sabrina. Both of their costumes looked well made and befitting of the fairytale style setting.
Libby and Sabrina at Harvey’s Halloween party. Libby was impeccably dressed as Jackie O and Sabrina as you guessed it, a witch! Not very imaginative there but perhaps good camouflage.
Sabrina dressed ironically again, as a magician’s assistant. Even though this outfit isn’t very wearable and showgirl reminiscent I can’t help but love the bright Pink and sequins. Who wouldn’t love to fit into a full length sparkly number with slit (not too high though mind you), Jessica Rabbit anyone?
Libby wearing what I call a costume since she appeared to be going for a reproduction retro look probably to go to a band signing (Violent Femmes) and after party.
Sabrina in full retro mode wearing a loud print micro mini dress and the iconic White go-go boots.
Ever watched Blind Date? Here’s Harvey in triplicate vying with himself to answer Sabrina’s questions and get picked. Thankfully, she picked the real one!
Zelda gives the retro dating game a go and wore a very pretty empire waist Green chiffon dress with pleated skirt section (very flattering but needed lining or an underskirt!) and lace trim plus a matching headband.
Drel – the former Head of the Witch’s Council. Eek @ his outfits O_O
The lady in the middle was the proprietor of a cosmetics shop that opened at full moon and her costume was awesome lol! You can’t see them but she was wearing capri length pants/trousers and matching espadrilles, the whole outfit was really in sync in an outrageous way.
Sabrina on a bed of nails dressed in an Indian style costume.
Zelda and Hilda at Hilda’s wedding date to Drel, who stood her up (grrr), causing Hilda to reduce the surroundings to ruins. They both looked beautiful though in their Asian inspired Graeco-Roman attire.
Zelda in a beautiful Medieval/Renaissance inspired garb before a wedding proposal.
Hilda and Zelda having fun!
Harvey begrudgingly wearing tights to go and rescue Sabrina, and Zelda and Hilda trying not to laugh…
OPENING CREDIT OUTFITS
Everyone who’s seen at least two episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch knows that she wore a different costume and did a very quick comic line per episode in the opening sequence. The costumes ranged from a mermaid to a construction worker and beneath were some of my faves. Do you remember any of the opening credit outfits and if so, which was your favourite?
Sabrina paying homage to Audrey Hepburn.
Sabrina the Victorian lady.
Sabrina in full swing – get it? Ok ok, having fun with the swinging 60’s and 70’s 😛
Sabrina the biker, oh yeah.
Sabrina the Spanish Senorita.
Sabrina from the 50’s, complete with poodle skirt.
Sabrina as Carmen Miranda (she was so awesome!)
Sabrina in a traditional Dutch style costume.
