For today’s outfit I didn’t go obviously dressy but instead opted for details and decoration. Overall it might not look much but there’s a fair amount of adornment going on; the trousers are Black so seemingly subtle but they had a lace overlay embroidered with lurex hence they are lacey and sparkly but you have to look at them to appreciate them. The top is an empire waist which isn’t normally recommended for my bodyshape but I like flowing styles just as much as fitted, that excess fabric and sleeves meant a lot of coverage but style wise it’s ofset with a v-neckline and beaded/studded statement ‘collar’.

The whole outfit is very comfortable and made of soft materials yet dressy enough. I guess I could had added jewellery but in person I think the effect was enough too.

Very impressive layering in nice colours, prints and fits providing ample coverage in a very classic, elegant and comfortable way.

We both decided not to go too fancy today; I absolutely love her t-shirt, look at that gorgeous artwork and it works very well together with the rest of the sweet and comfy outfit :-)

Celebrating school spirit week Maricel has had to jungle numerous themes this week but has pulled it off in style, she's another one who decided to go subtle dressy today but still fancy with accessories and the Black/White combination :-D

YAY for buttons! I promptly copied and proudly pasted in on my sidebar. I almost despaired that you weren’t doing FF today. I had already put your linky up on my post but when I published this morning my time, yours wasn’t up yet. Curse you, time differences!

Anyhoo, your pants are uh-mazing! I covet them muchly. And you’re right; the neckline of your top is embellishment enough; no necklace required. We sure make comfy and cozy look awesome, don’t we? ;p

    • šŸ™‚ I thought it was about time to have a button, if we get more members and perhaps even male bloggers I’ll add some more, maybe a top hat styled one. Sorry about yesterday, I was running late which on top of the time difference can really add up! No worries though, I’ll try to post in advance if I can’t do one šŸ™‚

I’m glad you like pants! I have issues with flash photography in non-brightly/pure White ‘studio’ type conditions but with this weather, continuous torrential rain and gale winds, it’s hard to take pics outside. Then the mornings are so dark and other such factors that I’ve had to rely on the flash and of course that makes light things brighter and dark things darker and lightening flash taken pics makes them Greyed and contrasting blocks out the detail so I was worried the details on the trousers wouldn’t show up properly.

Hehe with enough determination anything can be made awesome šŸ˜›

  2. Thanks for putting me into your blog!
