New Design Edits by Request! Part 1

Hello everyone! *Waves enthusiastically* 😀

I had a great response to the first set of my latest designs which can be seen HERE  and are still be voted on. I had some requests to make a version with a shorter length for more everyday wear and you can see them below. I hope you like them!

All of these designs are entered in ‘Competition 1 – submitting original designs’ at chicstar.com and if you like them or want to see what other people are saying click the pics and maybe vote. You can also view my past designs by clicking my name on any of the ChicStar pages.

Many of my new designs utilize custom prints submitted by members for the Print Competition, there are many gorgeous submissions to choose from!

Remember there are many awesome designs submitted to Chicstar, and we’d (designers) love your feedback.

Black Hi-Low Hem Coat Dress

This dress has the benefit of a formal yet dressy full length blazer style coat, over a cute/hot mini dress. Sexy whilst smart and with coverage. The dress buttons up at the front (matching buttons on the cuffs), as seen on the outer layer (on the bust there should be discreet hooks), that way the dress can be either stepped into or put on over the head. In terms of fabric – the sweetheart bust is a faux bust, it’s not a full top underneath. It’s just two front pieces sewn to the inner side of the ‘outer coat’ to make it look like an inner layer. This way it’s all really one layer and doesn’t get hot. The skirt is sewn under the the seam for the peplum section, that way there won’t be more than one visible seam. The lower section of the coat dress is draped. I would like shoulder pads if CS has them, I think they would add to the formal basis of this design and keep the arms straight as well as wide enough for those concerned about their upper arms. They could also be easily be removed.

Gothic/Evening style full length skirt in velvet which flows outwards into a fishtail/mermaid shape. It is high waisted with boning and laces up at the back with satin lacing. It also has a draped ‘swag’ in the same fabric attached over the hips for an extra flattering shape.

Same as above but in Red velvet.

Goth? Lolita? – Fashion Photo Contest Entry

Grettings! 🙂

This is my latest fashion/customer photo entry for Chicstar Competition 3 – posting a pic of yourself or someone you know wearing an item of Chicstar clothing. If you like it please click on the pic, which will take you to the ChicStar pages and vote Yes. Also why not take a look at the other entries and vote, perhaps even get involved yourself, it’s a great  way of getting discounted clothing, fun and nice to see the clothing on different people. The model in my pics is my mum!

Tip – you get $10 for entry into the contest and an extra $100 if you win. If you see anything you like get a 30% discount with coupon code WINNER.

The theme involves the eyes of the Goddess Kali and my mother floating in the void/source of everything on a ‘cloud’ with the halo of divinity/purity/knowledge. The dress is very smart and feminine and I think could be called Goth and leaning towards Lolita.  It was a special limited edition prototype dress and I managed to be an early bird and bought it quickly, it’s the same one from my post: Which Dress Should I Wear? Tea Party to Soiree  It isn’t available at Chicstar anymore but they have plenty more retro and vintage inspired dresses.

The two photos I chose from to make the final version are below:
