Fashion Designs – Fishtail and Draped Skirts

Hello! 😀

It’s been a while but here are my latest fashion designs being voted on at Chicstar.com in Competition 1 – submitting original designs. If you like them or want to see what other people are saying click the pics and maybe vote 🙂 You can also view my past designs by clicking my name on any of the ChicStar pages.

Remember there are many awesome designs submitted to Chicstar, and we’d (designers) love your feedback.

Gothic/Evening style full length skirt in velvet which flows outwards into a fishtail/mermaid shape. It is high waisted with boning and laces up at the back with satin lacing. It also has a draped ‘swag’ in the same fabric attached over the hips for an extra flattering shape.

Same as above but in Red velvet.

This is a high waisted, with boning, knee-length skirt in velvet that laces up at the back with satin lacing. It has a draped ‘swag’ in also in velvet attached over the hips for an extra flattering shape and a slit at the back for ease of walking.

Same as the first skirt but in satin.

Goth? Lolita? – Fashion Photo Contest Entry

Grettings! 🙂

This is my latest fashion/customer photo entry for Chicstar Competition 3 – posting a pic of yourself or someone you know wearing an item of Chicstar clothing. If you like it please click on the pic, which will take you to the ChicStar pages and vote Yes. Also why not take a look at the other entries and vote, perhaps even get involved yourself, it’s a great  way of getting discounted clothing, fun and nice to see the clothing on different people. The model in my pics is my mum!

Tip – you get $10 for entry into the contest and an extra $100 if you win. If you see anything you like get a 30% discount with coupon code WINNER.

The theme involves the eyes of the Goddess Kali and my mother floating in the void/source of everything on a ‘cloud’ with the halo of divinity/purity/knowledge. The dress is very smart and feminine and I think could be called Goth and leaning towards Lolita.  It was a special limited edition prototype dress and I managed to be an early bird and bought it quickly, it’s the same one from my post: Which Dress Should I Wear? Tea Party to Soiree  It isn’t available at Chicstar anymore but they have plenty more retro and vintage inspired dresses.

The two photos I chose from to make the final version are below:

Death and Loneliness/Bridging the Gap – Fashion Photos

Hello again all! Wow my posts are like buses today, you wait for ages and then three come at the same time! 😀

The photos below are two of my current fashion competition entries in the Chicstar Competition 3 – posting a pic of yourself or someone you know wearing an item of Chicstar clothing to get $10 on entry and a further $100 if you win. The model is my mother dearest!

The first one is for a Black/White contrast figure hugging bodycon dress and the second features a lace up satin sleeveless top. The items are now discontinued as I got them a while back but there are plenty of cute items still available.

If you like it please click on the pic and vote. Also why not take a look at the other entries and vote, perhaps even get involved yourself, it’s great fun and nice to see the clothing on different people. For buyers, type WINNER into the coupon box at checkout for a 30% discount!

Horizontal Stripes not the Enemy?

I think most ladies are aware of the bad rep that horizontal stripes have since they risk making the figure looking wider in ways the wearer might not appreciate. There’s also the risk of the stripes ‘expanding’ and curving in an unflattering way whereas vertical stripes add length and give the illusion of a slimmer figure.

Recently I discovered that horizontal stripes can actually be very flattering for us beauteous ladies who aren’t thin (for thinner beauties horizontal stripes can enhance and accentuate) and the secret is: wear thick panel stripes rather than pinstripe or narrow stripes. In the case of the dress below it also demonstrates that contrasting fabrics/colours can help too by making the item seem like a bodycon design. I’d have personally preferred block Black panels instead of Red contrasting with the Black lace but Red was still pretty and vibrant.

I took this photo for Chicstar Competition 3 – posting a pic of yourself or someone you know wearing an item of Chicstar clothing for $10 entry and the chance to win a further $100. The model is my beloved mother dearest who is a UK size 12/US 8/EU 40.
